You will note in the previous thread, I referred to last year's Queen's Plate winner as Eye of the Tiger. Of course, it is Eye of the Leopard. I wrote this blog early in the morning when my brain is not at its best. Actually, it was shortly after learning that Peter The Gross, the thoroughbred owned by David Cassidy has been gelded. Peter The Gross ran in a maiden race last Friday and finished 9th out of ten and maybe trainer Arthur Silvera felt he needed to drop some weight, but really Arthur, was that necessary.
More than anyone else, I feel Peter The Gross' pain.
