One of the nicest Jocks around. Too bad like any business when more then 5% of your business is with one customer you can get the clipper at any time. Goes to show you how ruthless sometimes this business is. Word on the backside was that Jimmy got the boot of Assmussen horses when he rode a horse called Paiute dead last and never even broke a sweat. it was liek the horse was in another race. The story goes thta the hosre was not sound and Jimmy was told about it the morning of the race. So as it looked to me he just simply rode him to not hurt himself or horse. Well all hell broke loose as Assmussen called the barn and said he didn't want Jimmy riding anymore of his horses. Paiute again ran Friday and was well bet off a workout that would show you otherwise. Hmmmmmm.. horse finished second last. Even the assistant trainer quit on the guy a while back.
Patrick Husbands has what you call in business blue chip accounts where even though he can keep on all of Casse horse still finds tme to ride for the top 5 trainers a remedy for success always.
Heard that Assmussen will not be around next year at woodbine.
Having said that here is my final pick for the year
